BOLA 9
The renovation of this 350 m² commercial space in La Nucía, Benidorm is conceived as a hybrid café, a space where gastronomy, leisure, and social interaction converge into a contemporary, multifunctional experience. Inspired by the world of billiards, the project transforms the venue into a versatile and engaging environment, where each area has its own identity while maintaining overall coherence.
The design emphasizes organic and natural materials, bringing warmth and authenticity to the space. Walls are finished with clay-based mineral paints, while custom-designed furniture in natural wood veneer reinforces the connection to craftsmanship and sustainability. This material palette balances the scale of the space and contributes to creating an atmosphere that is both inviting and sophisticated.
The layout is organized into distinct functional zones that flow naturally: relaxed seating areas, more dynamic social zones, and billiard spaces, understood not only as recreational activities but also as scenographic and cultural elements that give character to the café. The arrangement allows each activity to have its own space while maintaining a sense of openness and continuity.
Lighting plays a key role, combining LED systems and strategically placed spotlights to highlight key design elements and create differentiated atmospheres. Light defines functions, enhances the user experience, and transforms the space throughout the day, supporting both social interaction and moments of relaxation.
The goal of the project is to fuse leisure, gastronomy, and design in a sustainable, warm, and memorable environment, where materials, lighting, and spatial composition work together to create a space adaptable to multiple uses and moments of the day. This hybrid café becomes a contemporary, flexible venue where every visit offers a unique experience.
